Hello guys and gals. Long time no speak.
It’s been an exceptionally busy couple of months, which is why I haven’t really had the energy to write here. I won’t bore you with the details of it all (besides, much of it is too personal to share I’m afraid), but suffice to say that a lot of it was very serious, and the other residents here in spitaki will back me up on this.
But enough about me - how have you been?
The reason I’m writing now, is because I was hoping for some help with something I’m working on. I got roped into webdesign recently, and to tell the truth, there’s a lot of nice sites out there that have done a great job of combining pleasurable style and good code to fit the content. I want to get some nice examples in my head about what is possible in webdesign, and I’d like your help to find some more ideas.
So, if you’ve come across a site with a nice interplay of style-code-content, it would be great if you could let me have the address for it. Anything will be useful really, even if it’s just the style of a site you saw somewhere.
And as a last thought/question to all the programmers reading this… How many hours would I have to invest to learn how to use Flash properly, assuming I know nothing about it?
Take care. Spot.
A website depends mostly on personal taste and feel. I like websites like Theo Cacao a famous MacOSX user’s & web designers blog, I like Macromates websites which is about TextMate a famous MacOSX editor and other macosx-alike websites.
It may not be suitable for what you want to do, however you can’t deny that it’s a pleasure surfing through these pages :-)
Thank you for those two links atma. I really enjoyed browsing through theocacao.com in particular. Very nice design.
